The short version
- We collect what the free tools need to work and to stay fair.
- We don't sell personal data and we don't run advertising trackers.
- Creators can have their profile removed at /remove-me. We do it within 7 days.
- We're not affiliated with TikTok or Instagram.
What we collect
- An anonymous cookie. When you open the database, the analyzer or the campaign pages, we set a cookie called
anonthat holds a random id. It counts your free database rows and scans. It lasts a year and holds nothing else. - A salted hash of your IP address. Our database never stores your IP address. It stores a one-way hash of it, mixed with a secret, as a counter that stops people resetting the free limits by clearing cookies.
- Your account. Your email address and, if you sign in with Google, the name and profile picture Google shares with us. A session cookie keeps you signed in.
- What you tell us in the campaign area. Your brand profile (name, website, category, goal), your campaign briefs (product, goal, budget, competitor, creator niche) and your waitlist clicks.
- Your shortlist. The creators you star in the database.
- Scans of public profiles. When someone scans a TikTok handle, we fetch that profile's public stats and recent videos from our data provider and store the result, so the next scan of the same handle is quick.
- Requests you send us. Removal requests and "email me the full report" requests: the handle, your email and any note.
- Usage analytics. The pages you view and what you click, for example opening the booking window or reaching the free row limit. Recorded with PostHog, through our own domain.
Creator data
The database holds public stats from TikTok and Instagram profiles: handle, name, followers, engagement rate, average views, country, city and niche. Every row keeps its source and the date it was last updated. Some rows include a contact email from public sources. We never show it on the site.
The figures can be wrong or out of date, which is why each row shows its date. If you're a creator and want your profile out, use the removal form. We remove it within 7 days.
Why we use it
- To run the free tools and keep the free limits fair.
- To stop abuse and bots.
- To answer briefs, removal requests and booked calls.
- To see which pages and features get used, so we know what to build.
We don't sell personal data, and we don't use it for advertising.
Who helps us run the site
These companies process data for us. Each one gets only what its job needs.
- Vercel hosts the site and runs a bot check when you submit a form. Like any host, it sees your IP address when it serves a page.
- Neon hosts our database.
- PostHog records usage analytics.
- Resend sends sign-in codes by email.
- Cal.com runs the booking window. What you type into it is handled under Cal.com's own privacy policy.
- Our TikTok data provider receives the handles people scan and returns public profile stats. It never receives your details.
Cookies
anon, ours: counts free rows and scans. Lasts a year.- Sign-in cookies, ours: keep you signed in.
- PostHog: recognises a returning browser for analytics.
- Cal.com: may set its own cookies when you open the booking window.
No advertising cookies. If you block cookies, the site still works, but the database shows only the first page of any search.
How long we keep it
- Your account, brand profile, briefs and shortlist: until you ask us to delete your account.
- Free-limit counters: as long as they're needed to enforce the limits.
- Scans: until the handle is scanned again, which replaces the result, or the profile is removed.
- Removal and report requests: kept as a record of what we did.
Your choices
- Creators: remove your profile. Done within 7 days.
- Account holders: to get a copy of your data or delete your account, email icantcodefyi@gmail.com. We act on it within 7 days.
