Micro creators are cheap per post and expensive per hour. You need ten or twenty of them to learn anything, and each one is a separate conversation, contract and payment. The right platform cuts the hours on whichever step is slowest for you. The wrong one sells you an annual contract for a step you could do in a spreadsheet. If you're new to the tier, start with our micro-influencers guide for who they are and what they cost.
We have no affiliation with any vendor named here. Prices come from each vendor's own page, checked October 2026. Vendors change prices often, so check before you budget.
What types of micro influencer platform are there?
Four types matter for micro work. Each fixes a different step.
| Type | What it does | Good for micro work when | Weak spot |
|---|---|---|---|
| Creator database | Search public profiles by niche, country, size, views | You want specific creators in a narrow niche | You still do the outreach |
| Micro influencer marketplace | Creators opt in, apply to briefs or sell packages | You want speed on small, simple deals | The pool is only who signed up |
| CRM / campaign suite | Outreach, shipping, approvals, payments, reporting | You run dozens of creators a month | Annual contracts, priced for teams |
| Affiliate tool | Pays creators commission on tracked sales | You sell online and want low upfront risk | Attracts sellers, not storytellers |
The full map of platform types, including analytics and listening tools, is in the influencer marketing platform guide. This page sticks to the ones that suit micro programs.
Which micro influencer platforms publish prices?
Few do. Here's what each vendor shows on its own pricing page, as of October 2026:
| Vendor | Type | Published pricing (checked October 2026) |
|---|---|---|
| Shopify Collabs | Affiliate | Free to install. A 2.9% processing fee may apply on automatic commission payments |
| Modash | Database plus CRM | Essentials $199 a month billed annually ($299 monthly). Performance $499 a month billed annually ($599 monthly). Enterprise from $14,700 a year. 14-day free trial |
| Insense | Marketplace | Trial $650 for one month, up to 10 creators, 20% marketplace fee. Brand plan $500 a month, or $400 a month billed annually, 10% marketplace fee. Creator payments on top |
| Upfluence | CRM suite | Not published. Custom quote after a demo, 12-month minimum contract |
| InfluencerYaps | Database | 200 rows free, no signup |
Two things to read into that table.
Marketplace fees scale with spend. A 10% fee on $5,000 of creator payments is $500 on top of the subscription. For a micro program where creator fees are small and many, that fee can be a bigger line than the software.
Annual minimums punish tests. A 12-month contract makes sense once micro creators are a proven channel. For a first test of 10 to 20 creators, it means paying for eleven months of a tool you might not need.
Native tools sit outside the table because they don't sell software. TikTok One and Meta's creator marketplace connect you to opted-in creators on their own apps, and you pay the creators and any ad spend. They are worth trying first if your micro creators live on one app.
Database or micro influencer marketplace: which suits small creators?
This is the real choice for most micro programs, so it's worth slowing down on.
A marketplace brings creators to you. You post a brief, creators apply, prices are often fixed, and payment runs through the platform. That's fast. The catch is the pool: you only see creators who signed up and are looking for deals. Plenty of good micro creators never join one, because they have a day job and brands already find them.
A database lets you go to them. You search public profiles by niche, country and follower band, then reach out. The pool is bigger and includes creators who have never done a paid deal, which often means fair rates and a fresh audience. The catch is hours: outreach is on you.
Our view: scout in a database, book wherever is easiest. Searching first shows you who exists in your niche before anyone pitches you, and stops you from judging a whole tier by whoever happened to apply. You can search TikTok and Instagram creators by niche, country and follower count and get 200 rows free with no signup. The full walkthrough of filters is in the TikTok influencer database guide.
What should a micro influencer platform show you?
Micro creators are judged on small numbers, so bad data hurts more. A 20K account that looks great on an inflated engagement rate is a wasted shipment and a wasted fee. Check that the tool shows:
- Median recent views, not just average. One viral post can hide eleven quiet ones.
- Engagement per view and per follower, with the formula stated. The difference is covered in engagement rate vs views on TikTok.
- Data freshness. Micro accounts swing month to month. Ask when a profile was last refreshed.
- Country. Many micro programs are local. A tool that can't filter by country is a half-tool.
- What it can't see. Audience demographics from outside an account are estimates. Sales are invisible. A vendor who says otherwise is overselling.
Then vet the shortlist yourself. A platform narrows the list. It does not replace looking at the last 12 posts. Our guide to finding micro-influencers covers the checks step by step.
Which platform fits which micro program?
Match the tool to the size of the program, not the size of your ambitions.
| Your situation | Start with | Add later |
|---|---|---|
| First test, 10 to 20 creators | Free database plus native apps and a spreadsheet | Nothing until something breaks |
| Shopify store, want commission deals | Shopify Collabs | A database to find creators to invite |
| Fast, simple deals, little time to scout | A marketplace with clear fees | Your own scouting for niche fits |
| 40+ creators a month, a person who owns it | A CRM or database-plus-CRM | Affiliate tracking |
| No one with the hours | An agency, not a platform | A cheap tool for your own learning |
That last row matters. A platform is a tool, and someone still has to run outreach, chase drafts and pay invoices. If nobody on your team has those hours, see what a micro-influencer marketing agency does instead.
What no platform can tell you is whether a micro creator's audience will buy. Public engagement shows attention, not sales. Set up a code or a tracked link per creator before the first post, whichever tool you pick.
FAQ
Software that helps a brand find, contact, pay or track creators with roughly 10,000 to 100,000 followers. Some are databases you search, some are marketplaces where creators apply to your brief, some are CRMs for running many creators at once, and some pay commission on tracked sales. Most do one or two of those jobs well.
A marketplace is one type of platform. On a marketplace, creators opt in and apply to briefs or sell fixed packages, and the marketplace usually takes a fee on each deal. A database lets you search creators who never signed up anywhere, so the pool is bigger but you do the outreach yourself.
Not for the first campaign. Ten to twenty micro creators can be found with native search, a free database and a spreadsheet. Paid tools start to pay off when you run dozens of creators a month and things get lost: missed posts, unpaid invoices, codes nobody tracked. Buy for the step that breaks first.
It ranges from free to five figures a year. As of October 2026, Shopify Collabs is free to install with a fee on automatic commission payouts, Modash starts at $199 a month billed annually, and Insense's Brand plan starts at $400 a month billed annually plus a 10% marketplace fee. Upfluence quotes on request with a 12-month minimum.
A marketplace is faster for small, simple deals because creators come to you with prices attached. A database is better when you want specific creators in a specific niche, because most good micro creators never join a marketplace. Many brands use a database to scout and a marketplace or email to book.
