TikTok search is good at showing who your buyers already watch. It's bad at "US fitness creators with 10K to 80K followers and decent engagement". There's no filter for that in the app. A creator database is the tool for that question.
This page explains what our free TikTok creator database does, what each filter means, and where it stops. It's one method among several in how to find TikTok influencers, and it works best alongside them.
What can you search in the database?
Every search combines a few filters. Here is each one, as it works today.
| Filter | What it does |
|---|---|
| Platform | TikTok, Instagram, or both |
| Followers | A minimum and a maximum, so you can set a range like 10K to 100K |
| Min ER % | Hides creators below an engagement rate you choose |
| Niche | Lifestyle, Tech, Fitness, Parenting, Finance, Comedy, Travel, Gaming |
| Country | 34 countries, from the US, UK, Canada and India to smaller markets |
| Sort | Followers (default), engagement rate or average views |
Two niche notes. Lifestyle covers beauty, fashion, food and pets. Fitness covers health and wellness. So a skincare brand filters on Lifestyle, and a supplement brand on Fitness.
There are also two search modes. Keyword searches names and handles. Handle looks up a specific account you found elsewhere, so you can see its numbers next to the rest of your list.
Each row shows the handle, platform, followers, engagement rate, country, niche and the month the numbers were last updated. That date matters. Stale numbers are how brands end up paying for an audience that has moved on.
What's free, and what isn't?
Straight answer:
- Free, no signup: 200 rows of results in total.
- Free account: 2,000 rows a month, plus a saved shortlist you can star creators into.
- Export CSV: up to 500 creators from your current search, for a work email.
- Locked for now: contact emails (they ship with paid plans), audience filters for city, age and gender, and the AI prompt and lookalike search modes, which are marked as coming soon.
If you need a niche, country or size the filters don't cover, the "Need more data?" button sends us the requirement by email.
How to build a TikTok shortlist with it
A search worth copying:
- Set Platform to TikTok, pick your niche and country.
- Set followers to 10K to 100K. That's the micro tier, where creators still answer their own DMs.
- Set a minimum engagement rate, then sort by average views.
- Star 30 names, about three times the number you plan to hire.
- Check each one by hand before any outreach.
When you're ready, search TikTok and Instagram creators by niche, country and engagement. The results are a filter, not a verdict.
What a database can't tell you
Any creator database built from public data has the same blind spots. Ours included.
- Audience location and age. The country column is where the creator is based, not where their viewers are. Only the creator can see that. Ask for a screen recording of their audience tab.
- Sales. Public engagement can't show who bought anything. Use tracked links and codes.
- Fake followers, fully. Views far below followers is a warning sign, but a proper check takes more. How to vet a TikTok creator runs the steps.
- What people are searching. That's a different tool. TikTok Creator Search Insights shows search topics and content gaps, which tell you what to brief, not who to hire.
Database vs TikTok One
TikTok One is where TikTok's Creator Marketplace now lives. As of October 2026, TikTok's ads help pages describe filters for creator country, followers, language, audience details, views and engagement. Its strength is first-party data, including audience details no outside tool has. Its limit is coverage: only creators who joined and qualified are listed.
A public-data database covers creators who never signed up, which includes many smaller accounts. Use the database to widen the pool and TikTok One to check opted-in creators' audience data. For search demand inside TikTok, TikTok's Help Center covers Creator Search Insights.
FAQ
Yes. The InfluencerYaps database lets you search TikTok and Instagram creators by niche, country, follower range and minimum engagement rate. The first 200 rows are free with no signup, and a free account raises that to 2,000 rows a month. Contact emails and audience filters are not part of the free tier.
Platform (TikTok or Instagram), minimum and maximum followers, minimum engagement rate, niche and country. You can sort by followers, engagement rate or average views, search by name or keyword, or look up a handle directly. Audience filters for city, age and gender are shown but locked for now.
Yes. Export CSV downloads up to 500 creators matching your current filters, in exchange for a work email. The file has handle, platform, name, followers, engagement rate, country, niche and a profile link. Emails are never included in the export.
No. It shows the creator's country, not where their viewers live. No outside tool can see a creator's audience data the way the creator can. Ask shortlisted creators for a screen recording of their audience analytics before you pay them.
TikTok One, where TikTok's Creator Marketplace now lives, uses first-party data but only lists creators who joined and qualified. A database built from public data covers creators who never signed up to a marketplace. Many brands use both: the database to widen the pool, TikTok One to check opted-in creators.
